ludovic llorca aka art of tones is a composer who spent his youth in the north of france, learning music-making with computers (commodore 64 and amiga). after releasing a couple of techno/house 12 inches on small labels, he signed an artist contract (using his family name as a moniker) with french label f-communications on 1997, releasing three eps, followed by a lp (newcomer) on 2001. the albums huge success (more than 170.000 copies sold) leads him to stages around the world, touring for more than 3 years with musicians and singers, performing live in famous festivals (montreux, nice, vienne, den haag, les vieilles charrues) and in prestigious venues.

this time label boss jacek sienkiewicz goes under his alias reserved for club-oriented tracks, which is, well, recognition. we got accustomed to jaceks slight changes of style, or rather changes in his approach to music over the years, and this record is no exception: ditching his trademark, long, painstakingly elaborate and complex tunes in favor of probably the most straightforward, uplifting, fresh tracks in a long time.

2013 sees the release of norwegian disco viking rune linbaeks latest long player, on his drum island label. its his first album since the 2000 release (sondag) on paper recordings repap offshoot. last years single wonder feat kurt maloo on the label was a day one sell out here at all ears and marked a significant maturing of runes trademark sound. the influence of norway on the worlds forward thinking disco scene & beyond is more than evident, with countrymen like todd terje, prins thomas and hans peter lindstrom all leading the charge for years now. the creative cauldron of the infamous club in a public toilet skansen has much to answer for! krasava is a very much vocal led project, with a cast of featured vocalists which includes norwegian popstar anneli drecker alongside recent collaborator Øyvind blikstad. the album is steeped in norwegian folklore, visually and musically and the gentle lilt of the norse/balearic sound, sits comfortably alongside more cosmic flavours, rock and beautifully crafted pop.

all 10 releases + brand new dpk11!! dapayk solo is a studio workaholic and he strikes a blow for vinyl. in 2009 he started his very own vinyl only series called dpk, next to his well established labels mo s ferry, fenou and rrygular. the idea was to present vinyl in striking colours as a special format for his liveset tracks and beloved edits by artists such as format:b, super flu, sascha braemer and jon hester. it s a feast for the eyes and the ears all in one. now, four years later and after reaching #10 of the series, dapayk decided to compile all tracks in a collectors box. in addition to the previously released records he also included the brand new dpk #11 with a remix by aka aka. this big bundle contains 23 tracks and ranges from minimalistic to funfair tunes and also some edgy b-sides.

echocord colour025 is produced by a good friend and a new artist on echocord colour, lasse buhl from copenhagen. after some years in the techno scene as one half of the group northern structures, who releases on adama x label sonic groove, lasse buhl releases his debut ep r38 on echocord colour, inspired by roughness and simplicity. the remix comes from no other than milton bradley from berlin. the r38 track ia a driving, stomping, dry killer techno track, while em.a ai is a more experimantal breaky track, with dubby elements. the remix is a pure 4/4 techno track, a typical milton bradley peaktime production.

twd or the wild division records a new techno label based from terrassa (bcn) founded trough the collaboration between spear, dustertraum and miki craven. the label aims to follow a dark moody side of techno music, with simple structures and analog sounds reminiscent the old mid 90s productions. this label is the result of the work of the last three years between this three artists. the label will count with more international artists who will take part with the label signing and remixing further references.
